When I got married in the Winter of 2013, we wanted an intimate and fun party atmosphere, surrounded by friends and family. A dear friend offered to officiate, and we were deeply moved by the care he put into our ceremony. Whether you choose a large, family-filled event like we did, or a more intimate ceremony, my goal is to make you feel as if you are being married by a friend and ally.

In my work as a community music teacher, I spend my days connecting with young families, and I am excited to stand with you as you affirm your commitment to each other and celebrate your new status as spouses.

I believe strongly in marriage equality and in the words of Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, that no one should be denied the right to form a marital union. “No union is more profound than marriage,” states Kennedy, “for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were.”

I look forward to helping you honor your relationship and stand with you as you cross this threshold into married life.
