When I was young, my grandmother became ill with a debilitating disease. I wanted to learn how best to care for people in need, so I volunteered at a local hospital. She passed away when I was 14, and her death was soon followed by the passing of several other close family members.
As difficult as this time was, my experience has made me comfortable around the rituals of death, and helped me discover my strength in being able to support others. I understood from an early age the importance of ceremony, and how a thoughtfully-crafted memorial can help acknowledge and honor the grieving process and soothe family and friends. Even before I became a Celebrant and Minister, I was often asked to speak or sing at funerals. I am driven to do this work and to help my clients feel heard and supported during this difficult time. I can work closely with you and write a meaningful ceremony celebrating the life passed, encouraging the sharing of memories. Or, I can take the lead with a quick set of questions and craft a more classic memorial with your input, helping to make it personal and true.
Whichever you choose, we’ll create a beautiful tribute.
