I've had an interesting path toward my work in creating ceremonies. In college, I studied creative writing and literature at SUNY Binghamton, where I also received a minor in music. I then earned a Masters Degree in writing at SUNY Stony Brook and served as the first student member on the board of the Poetry Center. I love writing and am passionate about crafting ceremonies for my clients.

Over the last 25 years I've also been busy with a career as a music teacher and a singer-songwriter. The skills I've developed holding classes and performing in a variety of settings have uniquely prepared me for my role as a Minister and Life-Cycle Celebrant. I am comfortable holding space in front of groups of all sizes, and I've developed an ability to not only connect with my clients, but also "read the crowd," which is immensely helpful in both writing and performing my ceremonies. I'm a confident band leader and public speaker.

In my work as music educator, I spend my time with new families, building community through teaching. I love bringing people together and being part of my clients' milestone moments.

These experiences have shaped me as a person and guided me to a point in my life where I discovered I was perfectly poised to study ceremony and start a new career.

My work honors and celebrates important life passages, and I strive to create events that will meet and leave you feeling understood and valued.

I welcome the chance to lead weddings, funerals, memorials, vow renewals, blessings for new children, naming rites, and others.
